Fishing in Delaware, A brief look

Delaware is the second smallest of the states and yet provides an ample amount of fishing opportunities. Delaware only has about fifty freshwater fishing ponds which are great for largemouth bass fishing. Other Delaware fishing varieties include: chain pickerel, yellow and white perch and sunfish. On the other hand, Delaware provides excellent saltwater fishing along the coast down to the Maryland border.

Delaware ocean fishing out of the Lewes and Indian River basin is seasonally excellent for black sea bass, bluefish, marlin and tuna. Delaware also offers famous flounder fishing in the Indian River Bay.
